UPDATE 6-6-25

Etsy has temporarily disabled Processing Profiles after the latest updates caused processing time details to be removed from some listings in error.

After the launch of Processing Profiles on May 21, we discovered an issue that caused processing time details to be removed from a small percentage of listings. This means that for those listings, buyers were not seeing estimated delivery dates and “Ship By” dates were missing in Shop Manager.

We know how important this information is so we’ve turned off Processing Profiles while we troubleshoot. We sent an email about this issue to all sellers on June 5.

Etsy introduces new tools to help sellers manage shipping and order processing, invites sellers to fireside chat with trust & safety execs.

First up, sellers can now get granular with processing times, adding specific profile to product variations to give buyers more accurate delivery estimates.

Add unique processing times to each variation you offer
These settings can be managed from the Listings page or in a new section of shipping settings called “Processing profiles”. Just like a shipping profile lets you assign shipping details to multiple listings, a processing profile lets you set a processing time for multiple listings or multiple variations.

Your processing profiles will either have a “Ready to ship” or “Made to order” label based on your listing details. (FYI, these labels aren’t visible to buyers just yet.)

Review your processing profiles and add them to your listing variations
We’ve created processing profiles based on your current listing details. Head to your Shop Manager to review them—we’ll walk you through it. You can make any adjustments here.

Then if you want to assign a processing profile to a listing variation, head to your Listings to make that update. For step-by-step instructions go to Etsy’s Help Center. We’ll start using your variation-level processing times on May 27 to show shoppers an accurate estimated delivery date, so make any updates to your processing times before that date.

Shipping profiles, where processing times used to live, still exist—but now they only include shipping details like carrier, origin zip code, and anything related to shipping prices.

Not seeing these settings in your shop yet? If you use a third-party platform to manage any of your shipping or processing settings, these options will be available soon.

Etsy is also giving sellers a clearer picture of their order earnings with post-purchase summaries that show a breakdown of fees and other costs that may be deducted from an order.

The new order earnings breakdown is designed to give you a better understanding of how much you make on every order. That way, you can feel more confident pricing—and shipping—your items as competitively as possible.

Check out order earnings to see how much you’re making every time you make a sale. This post-purchase summary breaks down each order so you know how much you’ve made once Etsy fees and some other costs are deducted, including shipping cost, marketing cost, transaction fees, payment processing fees, taxes paid by the buyer, and Etsy funded coupon credits.

Etsy suggests for sellers to use the order earnings summary along with their earnings calculator to fine-tune pricing strategies.

That calculator was launched in 2024, but sellers said at the time it only reflected some of the fees they might be charged and was missing key data.

Etsy Introduces Estimated Profit Calculator, Sellers Say It’s Missing Key Data To Be Useful
Etsy has rolled out an Estimated Profit Calculator, but sellers say it’s missing key data and is really only a “some fees calculator.”

YouTuber and Etsy seller Pam Duthie showed demos of both the processing times for variations feature and the order earnings breakdown in a recent video, giving Etsy a thumbs up for both updates.

And finally, Etsy will be hosting a fireside chat event on May 28, How Etsy Crafts
Policy Keeps our Marketplace Safe, featuring VP Community and Communications Kelly Clausen, VP Trust & Safety Alice Wu, and Senior Director, Marketplace Policy Sophie Duba.
